People amuse me! I'll be honest, it has sucked ass since December 19th when I released my first HD video as an MP4.
MP4?!? What the f*ck kind of alien file format is THAT!?! I can't begin to tell you how many dozens of messages I received from potential members asking if my videos were WMV or QT. When I responded with MP4 and FLV, then nothing. Well, one. Out of all those messages only one person joined. And for every message I received I wonder how many countless others didn't join because my videos were in the "obscure" MP4 format. Enter the iPad. Similar to the iPhone, it has embraced the new H264 video standard and it does not support Flash. Now instead of asking the WMV/QT question, people are asking "What player can I use to watch the downloaded MP4s?" If you see a site touting "iPad Ready" more likely than not their videos are MP4s (or some H264 variant of MP4). For those of you who have iPads simply sign into the members area, go to the video you want to watch, and the MP4 video will automatically stream.
Like I've said before, since H264 is the new standard eventually the entire industry will move in that direction. It will just take some time.
