He's moving fast. I had no doubt that he would be a rising star. Usually it takes the charismatic guys about year to take off and really make a name for themselves. Mark your calendars and we'll see how Ryan Middleton does. 
Since we were going to shoot Trent Diesel and Robert Rox's scene non-stop we did the marketing stills prior to taping. I told the guys they could do whatever they wanted in their scene. In other words, the marketing stills didn't need to match the scene. That's because I wanted to scene to flow naturally as they changed positions, instead of having them think, "We're fucking here now and next we need to be over there with my leg in the air and..."
During the stills I suggested that Trent get on top of Robert in a reverse cowboy. Try as he may, his legs didn't bend the way that I wanted, and this is the contorted attempt he made at hitting the position. Gave us a good laugh, if nothing else. And yes, as always, it's a condom scene. Their non-stop continuous action scene is scheduled for release on 3/6/10. 
Clay Towers was referred by Ray Daniels, and at that time Clay had never been in any porn. Ironically, while I was shooting in Chicago he was in Fort Lauderdale, and when I shot in Florida he had returned to Illinois. During that time he shot his first video topping his scene partner. I'll have to see when I am ready to encode the video. There was a five minutes lag at one point and I'll have to weigh the value of having a non-stop scene against having it lag for a short time.
Robert got into adult work to pay for his training certification, and he was just certified. After the shoot today he informed me that this would be his last adult video. I know we've all heard from porn stars who retire, only to come back at some point in the future. Others stick to their guns and leave for good. Considering that Robert is straight, had a goal for the money (which he has now achieved), and is deathly afraid that his girlfriend will find out that he has done gay porn, this truly may be his last video.
